The inspiration

Lightweight and robust

The tubular metal frame makes the Jetty modern upholstered bed look amazingly light. This impression is accentuated by the padded headboard panels that wrap around the frame, enveloping it without weighing it down.
Upholstered double beds with a steel frame come from the idea of a simple cantilever-style frame, to make the bed seemingly float above the ground.
The upholstered headboard panel creates a comfortable angle with the bed frame so that it can be used as a backrest.

Gordon Guillaumier

Born in Malta in 1966, Gordon Guillaumier studied in Switzerland and England. He graduated in industrial design at the IED in Milan in 1991 and the following year he obtained a master's degree in industrial design at the Domus Academy in Milan.
